I created this website to be an all-in-one hub for my work. Using multiple social media platforms scattered across the web would make finding my work difficult. I also didn’t want to deal with the strict rules, unpredictable algorithm, and harsh judgement of social media and the people in them. However, I use YouTube without a channel, have Discord for online friends, and a few miscellaneous platforms I only have for personal use (even then, I don’t use those frequently).
The theme of this website is a bright, colorful kiddy style akin to children’s TV channels like Noggin, Nick Jr., PBS Kids, and Playhouse Disney and websites like ABCya! and McWorld. In fact, this website’s logo is heavily based on Noggin’s. I wanted this website to almost feel like an actual children’s website which is why certain places (like this page!) have a childlike language. The name “TakeThatMom!” is a phrase I hope to say to my actual mom, who doubts I could make it in life and doesn’t know I have plans.
