Just like everyone else on Neocities, I made this website to escape the hustle and bustle of social media. However, I found it ironic that many people on Neocities still have a public social media presence despite making a website, so I use this website as my all-in-one social media. I post whatever I want without restrictions and make content without much worry.
The name “TakeThatMom!” is a bit of a rebellion. My mom doubts that I could make it in life, but little does she know I have a few tricks up my sleeve (too egotistical?). And my full name “oddbiku” has a little more lengthy backstory. In 7th grade math class, I was thinking of usernames to call myself. I thought of the word “odd” because I am an odd person. “Biku” was just a random word I thought of. On Discord, someone called me Biku as a nickname for me. I liked it and it stuck ever since.
Originally, the website was just going to be called oddbiku, but at the time, I didn’t have confidence in coding, so the website was deleted and I couldn’t get the name back. To be fair, calling the website by my username would be too simple, but is oddbiku and TakeThatMom! coexisting too complicated for you?
The “colorful kids website” theme you’re seeing represents my happy place: bright, simple, and fun. I hope this website brings you as much happiness as I did creating it.
